About Natasha
Natasha R learned early that when life uproots, the garden one must grow in is one’s self. Which is perhaps how the Portland-via-Houston, via-Pakistan transplant fell in love with art as a means of discovering herself and home within a world persistently inclined to change. Driven by her own ever-shifting backdrop, her work has evolved through seasons of diverse mediums and flavors imparted by life in three different countries, making her the color-happy, soul-searching, bold, yet intimate multimedia artist she is today.
Known for her bright florals, cultural landscapes, stylized portraits, and poignant visual journaling, Natasha now explores her authentic self, connection to the world, and a (deeply personal, yet universal) sense of belonging through digital art/illustration, paint, oil pastel, and rich, energizing color. Locally, her work has appeared in commissions across the Pacific Northwest - the Multnomah Whiskey Library as well as two campaigns for Pioneer Square, including a prominent display for the winter holidays. When not in a sketchbook, find Natasha baking cookies with her bestie, on long nature walks or daytrips to the Oregon Coast, conjuring up the next cup of chai, or lost in a good novel at home.
